14 | The dunes continue right to the Atlantic coastline. The wind blows in the opposite direction, from land to sea, with the result that rain falls rarely. Vegetation survives from the mist of the fog. The climate is inhospitable. However, the oxygen level is very high leading to very rich plankton which results in very rich and plentiful ocean life. (Seals, fish, whaling etc.) |
